The paramount ruler of the Atyap people called on government both national and state, companies, able Nigerians and NGOs to cave in on this noble initiative that aimed at giving the Orphans a renewed hope after losing their parents in the dastardly act of inhumanity.
The Executive Chairman of Zango-Kataf Local Government Area, Mr. Francis Sani aka Zimbo described the scheme as “wonderful.” Zimbo donated N1.5M on behalf of the council. He urged those who God has laid wealth in their hands to support the project for humanity sake.

Chairman of the occasion, Chief Dr. Tagang Andrew Barry (Fagaci Atyap), said, as we stand at the threshold of a new beginning, let us remember that the success of this Scholarship lies not just in the financial aid it provides but in the transformations it will catalyse. The recipients of this Scholarship will go on to become leaders, change makers, and contributors to our society. Their stories will be a testament to the power of resilience, determination, and the support of a caring community.

The Scholarship is aimed at meeting some of the primary needs of the students: tuition fees, books, uniform and healthcare and the beneficial students cut across tribes in the chiefdom: Surubu, Ikulu, Amawa, Fulani, Atyap, Hausa and Siyawa.
