In a press statement signed by the Chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of the PDP and Chairman PDP State Chairmen Forum, Hon. Hassan Hyat calls on all party faithful to keep faith with the party ahead of the rerun elections across constituencies in the state.
We did not get justice at the Supreme Court owing to the fact that the matter was decided strictly on technicalities and not the substance of the case, we appeal to our teeming supporters to remain calm and accept this outcome as the will of God for us all, Hyat said.
He went further saying, having won the presidential election in the state, all three senators from the state, seven members of the House of Representatives, and two others facing a rerun, 12 members of the House of Assembly and two others also facing a rerun,  the people of Kaduna State have clearly shown that the PDP remains their party choice.
We want to assure everyone of our party’s resolve  to continue working with the people in holding the government of the state accountable and ensuring equity, justice, and fairness in the allocation of government resources and projects.
We also want to plead with the people of the state, especially those in Makera, Chikun, Kauru, Kudan, Igabi, and Kachia/Kagarko state and federal constituencies respectively, to keep faith with our party candidates in the rerun elections of 9th February, 2023. We urge the electorates not to be discouraged by the outcome of the Supreme Court judgment in respect of the governorship election  by coming out enmasse to vote for the PDP and also defend their votes.
Eternal vigilance is the price for freedom. Our liberation, therefore, from the era of electoral theft, can only be guaranteed when we mobilise ourselves to vote, resist vote buying and intimidation of voters, and also ensure our votes are counted, protected, and defended at all costs, at the various collation centres. This should be our attitude come 9th February, 2023, across all the areas election will be holding.
