After the House of Representatives election in February, 2023, which gave Hon. Daniel Amos the constitutional power to represent the people of Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, I sought the opinion of voters on what they expected of him.
A local politician in Kafanchan who fought every inch of Dan’s way to victory, gobbledegook for a moment, “nothing good will come out of Daniel Amos 4 years,” he exclaimed.
7 months down the lane, he was sighted clad in Daniel Amos’s T-Shirt and face cap during a political gathering.  When asked the same question he was asked in February, 2023 he replied, quizzical: “Daniel Amos is an institution that needs to be studied. I did. I now know he is a worthy politician. “
At his inauguration dinner in Abuja, the representative  of the MD of Brains & Hammers, Funsho Lawal, unambiguously described Daniel Amos as a “goal getter.”
She further said of him, “when he joined Brains & Hammers, everything changed. We started solving problems with ease than we used to. Jema’a/Sanga you are lucky to have him as your representative. “
Her thought was the same as horde of Dan’s political supporters. The constituency is currently leveraging on his benignity and compassion.
As a first timer, he never came short of people’s expectations and in showing his political maneuvering skills. Unlike other first ttimers,  Dan endeared himself to the heart of the Speaker of the House of Representatives,  Hon. Tajudeed Abbas.
He is one of his confidants and henchmen. When the Speaker made a jaw dropping donation of N5M (five million naira) during the Southern Kaduna Festival in December last year, in Kafanchan, it was a salient ripples of his robust relationship with his boss that attracted such a humongous donation.
Last month in Bayelsa State, when Sen. Sunday Marshall Katung made a delegation, which included Daniel Amos that accompanied him to the swearing-in of his friend, Gov. Duoye Diri, during a pep talk at Diepreye Alamieyeseigha Castle Resort in Yenagoa, Dan talked about himself. He said, “I’m a man of grace. Everything about me is grace. “
For those who knew Dan back in the days and now, from his academic pursuit to business and politics, there is no better adjective to describe his tectonic rise than grace. A childhood  buddy of Dan, made a metaphoric statement about him, he described him as a roaring Lion.
Dan epitomises selfless and benevolent leader. His constituency is feeling his pulse through his legislative duties and in kind.
He has got both his  mojo and magic wand working effectively, yielding positive results.
On 30th March, 2024 in Kafanchan the federal lawmaker will begin the disbursement of N500,000 (five hundred thousand naira) to some women in his constituency to support their businesses and enhance the social mobility of their families. This is significant,  also, in supporting the micro and macroeconomics level of the Nigerian economy.
Dan Amos has raised the bar of politics by enabling the free flowing of the benefits of democracy to his people. In less than one year as a federal lawmaker, he has done remarkably well by doing the following:
    1. Free Medical Outreach:
Surgeries to over 500 people before election and over 1000 after election.
    2. He has given free reading glasses to over 1000 people.
    3. Distributed about 65 Solar street lights to cushion the insecurity in Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency
    4. Appointed 60 Aides and placed over 70 others on monthly allowances in Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency
    5. Facilitated the appointments of Senior Legislative Aides to the Rt. Hon. Speaker for people within his Constituency
    6. Facilitated the construction of Federal Government Technical School, Jagindi. Work done is placed at 60%.
    7. He has embarked on quarterly interface with his constituency for the purpose of feeding feedback.
    8. He has donated 2 Motorcycles  to Operation Safe Heaven in Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency to enhance their movement.
    9. He has repaired some boreholes in some communities in both Jema’a/Sanga.
    10. He has embarked on the construction of a stadium for sporting activities in Gwantu, Sanga Local Government (Ongoing)
    11. He has extended support to several community-based associations in his constituency. E.g. CDAs and religious organisations.
