The Lagos Leadership Summit and Award Ceremony organised by the University of Lagos in collaboration with Crown University United States of America, Centre for Public Service Productivity and Development, Association of Pension Desk Practitioners of Nigeria has honoured Mr. Gideon Jock with an Honorary Doctor of Management.
The award ceremony took place on 13th April 2024 at Julius Berger Hall, located behind the Faculty of Engineering, University of Lagos.
The summit, themed: “Navigating Challenges, Seizing Opportunities, and Equity Amidst Hyperinflation and Forex Scarcity,” aims to provide a dedicated platform for meaningful dialogue, networking, and collaboration on the pressing economic issues facing our society today.
Gidcon Jock is a proud son of Ham from Kwoi, Jaba LGA, Kaduna State, Nigeria. A member of staff of the National Assembly. An Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Cost & Managent Accountants of Nigeria. A certified Management Specialist (CMS) in Time Management of the London Graduate School. A Fellow of the Geofidel Institute for Leadership & Management, London. Fellow, Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria. Fellow, Chartered Institute of Mortgage Brokers and Lenders of Nigeria. A holder of Honorary Doctorate Degree in Leadership & Management from Harvard Business School and Geofidel Institute for Leadership & Management, London.
Jock is a board member of ECWA International College of Technology, Jos. A member of the Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA) Staff Club of Abuja. Member, Mambilla Barracks Officer’s Mess Sport Club of Maitama, Abuja. A member of IBB International Golf and Country Club of Abuja. He is the president of the Gracious Sports and Recreation Club of Abuja.
Jock has received several awards and recognitions amongst many others, the award for Youth Empowerment & Selfless Service from Defence Intelligence Agency, Junior/Intermediate Staff Club of Abuja Recognition award in appreciation of invaluable contribution to the reduction of housing deficit in Nigeria from Lifestyle Asset Hub International. An award of excellence in recognition of laudable contributions to the growth and development of Jaba LGA from PDP former Councillors’ Forum, Jaba LGA. A merit award in recognition of selfless service to the Ham community and humanity from Holistic Club Kwoi, Jaha LGA. A Galaxy of Student Progress Award from National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS). Global Impact Award as Community Developer of the Year from Ashbab Global Impact Initiative. A meritorious award for the sacrificial love and hospitality to the Kwoi town and Ham land from the Motorcycle Riders Association of Jaba LGA. An award of excellence for meritorious service to humanity from Kwoi Youth Progressive Association (KWOYOPA), NAPS Outstanding Leadership Award of Excellence (An Icon of Hope) from National Association of Polytechnic Students of Nigeria. An award of excellence from the National PDP Coalition Forum, Kaduna State Chapter. An appreciation award in recognition of meritorious service to humanity from Kwoi Child, Jaba LGA. An award of excellence in appreciation of sacrificial & excellent contribution to the great people of Bitaro Community, Jaba LGA Special award of honour as Church Builder and Human Developer from ECWA Men Fellowship International. An award of honour in recognition of unwavering support, mentorship, and sacrifices to the advancement of Ham Students Union KASU chapter.
Jock holds a Chieftaincy title as Mayegun of Oodua Youth Parliament (Leader of Peace) from Oodua Youth Parliament of Nigeria, Yoruba Kingdom and a title holder of Sir Ahmadu Bello Hall of Fame as Dujjiman Matasan Arewa (Symbol of Youth’s Refinement).
