Speaking at a media parley in Kaduna, a candidate for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship position in Kaduna State in the coming Congresses of the party in the state, Hon. Edward Auta, said, he is young, has capacity, and well-equiped for the appex position of the party in the state.
“I’m contesting for the position of the party’s Chairman not because I’m just a youth, but because I’m a youth with capacity to lead the party. I have the capcity and I’m well-equipped for the job,” has said.
He added that the PDP in Kaduna State needs the energy of the young and the wisdom of the old to take the Party to an enviable height. The agitation by the youth for inclusion into the leaderships position of the party is timely and necessary because politics has gone scientific and we must go along with global trend. In addition, I know the problems bedeviling PDP in the state and with the help of party faithful we can navigate our way of the guagmire.
He went further, I have served the Kaduna State PDP chapter at various capacities: in 2019, I was in PDP governorship candidate, Isah Ashiru Kudan’s campaign Directorate and in 2023, I headed the print media unit of his campaign team. I’m currently serving as Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs to the present PDP Chairman of Kaduna State, Rt. Hon. Hassan Hyat.
So, I’m an insider and being an insider I can tell you people that, I know the challenges confronting the party and I have the blueprint to resolve these issues for the good of the party.
He told Journalists at the parley that if he becomes the party’s Chairman, he will defeat Gov. Uba Sani before 12 noon on election day come 2027. He described Uba Sani government as inept and lacking in lucrative ideas that is why he is always complaining of paucity of funds that he should have used to drive his development agenda.
The young politician frowned at Uba Sani’s contionuous absent from the state and always in Abuja.
