Accounting for his stewardship after one year in the  green chamber, member, representing Jema’a//Sanga federal constituency and Chairman, House Services Committee, Hon. Daniel Amos of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) distributed Rice, assorted fertilizer, herbicides, sewing, and grinding machines and issued scholarships and grant to small scale business owners, totalling N159.5M.

Speaking to the audience at the venue of the two days event in Kafanchan, Hon. Amos said, Despite the hurdles I have had to surmount, I am proud to say that we have made significant strides towards promoting the well-being and progress of Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency. I believe that with the cooperation and support of my constituents, we can overcome any obstacle and continue to forge ahead towards a brighter future for all.

 

Adding that, this is done in fulfilment of the promises I made at my inauguration on 13th June 2023 to put before you, my constituents, records of my activities for public scrutiny and assessment. In the build-up to the 2023 elections, I entered into a social pact with my people, promising to do the following things for them, if elected:

• To improve their living standards• Empower Youth and Women• Provide Community support

• Collaborate with the government to ensure food security

• Provide quality healthcare

• Provide clean sources of water

• Lobby for the upgrade of existing infrastructures and to also provide new ones based on need assessments.

According to a Senior Legislative Aide to the federal lawmaker, Hon. Bamas Maidawa, the items distributed include: 1400 bags of assorted fertilisers worth N50M; 300 bags of 50kg of Rice worthN22.5M; 100 units of grinding machines worth N12M; 62 units of Sewing machines worth N115M; and 90 cartons of agrochemicals worth N90M.

In addition, the kindhearted politician empowerment 60 Small Scale Business(SME) operators with N500k each to boost their businesses and in the same vein, he gave N100k scholarship to 200 students across various institutions of higher learning.
