Senator Katung Boost Healthcare, Donates Consumables to Constituents in Southern Kaduna

As part of his continuous efforts towards the improvement of healthcare delivery in his constituency, the Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, has donated drugs, medical equipment and consumables worth millions of naira to Primary Health Centres in Jaba Local Government Area of the State.
The medical items which include various types of drugs, will be distributed to selected Primary Health Care Centres within the local government.
The Senator promised to continue supporting residents of his constituency for access to an enhanced healthcare system and other dividends of democracy.
Senator Katung who was represented by a former Commissioner of Health, Dr. Thot Joseph, pledged to continue touching the lives of the people at the grassroots.
According to him, Senator Katung is focused on ameliorating the hardship being experienced by the people at the grassroots and will do everything possible to ensure the well-being of his citizens.
He encouraged the benefiting Primary Healthcare Centres to make judicious use of the drugs for the benefit of humanity.
Receiving the items on behalf of the PHCs,  the deputy director of health in Jaba Local Government, Nurse Rehab Ibrahim, expressed gratitude to the Senator, promising to ensure judicious use of the donated drugs, medical equipment and consumables.
She applauded Senator Katung’s foresight and huge investment in the health sector, even as she appealed to other affluent and privileged persons in the State to emulate the selfless gesture of the Senator and support the efforts to improve and maintain a high standard in healthcare delivery in Kaduna State.
The  Medical Drugs were distributed by the National Productivity Center in conjunction with Building Capacities Development Hub (BCDH), facilitated by Senator Sunday Marshall Katung.
