Today,  I’m the happiest person because the crisis that bedevilled youth wing of the Southern Kaduna People’s Union (SOKAPU) has been resolved after several months in limbo, said the National President of SOKAPU, Comrade Samuel Tabara.
Tabara made the narration during the Swearing-in of the new executive members of the SOKAPU youth wing,  which was administered by Barr. Desmond Tabakwot at the SOKAPU head office in Kaduna yesterday (17th March, 2025).
The newly sworn in SOKAPU Youth EXCOs include:
1. Solomon Simon National Coordinator
2. Prince Agmada Tanko Deputy Coordinator
3. Alhassan Aruwa Secretary General
4. Nano Kurmi Assistant Secretary
5. Elisha Samuel Treasurer
6. Isah Anjadick Emmanuel P.R.O
7. Dabo Gabriel Financial Secretary
Comrade Tabara advised the new leadership, saying, “Take your time and study the constitution and understand it so that you can know the extent of your authority and its limits, and ensure that whatever you do is in line with the constitution. The constitution is the platform upon which we shall stand to serve our people.
Comrade Samuel Tabara
“Desist from the temptation of going to Board of Trustees(BoT) or BoT coming to you  because it is a very serious breach of the constitution and a recipe for dis-orderliness and lawlessness.  Your activities shall have to be approved by the President/Central Executive Committee (CEC) of SOKAPU at all times.”
The newly sworn in National Coordinator of SOKAPU, Comrade Solomon Simon thanked the National President for making their swearing-in possible.
Comrade Solomon Simon
“We thank you for making this ceremony possible. You has proven that you are a comrade, and I must count myself lucky considering some of the giant strides that you have started, making a difference over what you have inherited. Sir, we will help you so that we will all succeed together. On behalf of myself and other members of the EXCOs, we will be loyal to your leadership.”
For the benefit of hindsight, the National Youth Wing of SOKAPU was engrossed in a deep crisis, which stems from disputes within the youth since 2022 that culminated to the establishment of a Caretaker Committee in 2024, to organize and conduct fresh election, that would have ushered in a new leadership since last year, but for some challenges the Caretaker Committee led by Comrade Joseph John Auta has just delivered on its assignment. All areas of dispute amongst the contending youth have been amicably resolved with the signing of a communique by all parties and stakeholders,  in the interest of SOKAPU and the Southern Kaduna People.
