The Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, said, the Monday 21st April, 2025 gathering of Southern Kaduna traditional rulers, clergies, politicians, academia, professionals, and youths is a day that he looked forward for in a very long time.
And he want the gathering to be the beginning of a better future for Southern Kaduna.
General Gwabin made these assertions at an occasion, with the theme:”Solemn Declaration,” which was organised by like-minded individuals from Southern Kaduna at the Lt. Gen. LN Yusuf Multi-Purpose Centre in Bara, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State to chart new course and pursue a unity of purpose amongst the people of the region
The military Czar, who was accompanied by his adorable wife, Mrs. Oghogho Christopher Gwabin Musa elaborated, ” the unity of Southern Kaduna is first and foremost to me. Moving forward from here is for us to have this discussion, how do we move forward.”
Gwabin never shies away from lending credence to the call for unity in the zone.
“Irrespective of political differences, when it comes to Southern Kaduna, we should be one,” he added.
He also shed light on the University of Applied Sciences and the Federal Medical Centre.
“The Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, that was assented by Mr. President, he took it as his personal drive. During the Federal Executive meeting, they were supposed to consider all the universities.
“Before Mr. President Sat down, he asked, where is that file? And without any discussion, it was approved. He sat down and signed it. He told the minister of education that I want JAMB in September and I want admission in September. Nigeria University Commission do anything you have to do in September that University must commence. The Federal Medical Centre was also the president drive.”
“We, the armed forces, will continue to work together in support of this government to ensure that this country is safe, secure, and continue to grow,” he declared.
He called for increased voters awareness and more involvement in politics so that Southern Kaduna voters can be amongst those who determine those who become leaders and decision makers in our society.
“First, registration, we must make sure that those of us that are eligible in Southern Kaduna have voters card. On the day of election, if fire falls from above, stay at the polling unit and vote. We must do things differently if we want a different result.”
