Stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Godogodo Zone of Jema’a Local Government Area held a crucial meeting on Saturday, May 25, 2025, after a long hiatus, to deliberate on key issues affecting the party at the zonal, local government, senatorial, state, and national levels.

In a communiqué signed by Hon. Nathaniel Bawa (Chairman) and Aku Joshua Shai (Secretary), the forum expressed appreciation to supporters for their commitment, particularly during the preparations for the local government election, which was eventually not held. They urged continued support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting acknowledged that the zone, like other areas, had experienced defections but commended the resilience and loyalty of remaining members, which was evident in their solidarity during the last election cycle. The stakeholders called on all supporters to remain steadfast, describing the PDP as a party with “human sympathy” and a commitment to the welfare of the people.

They also expressed optimism that the forthcoming Board of Trustees (BoT) meeting would address internal issues and strengthen party cohesion.

The forum assessed the performance of elected representatives from the area, including Senator Barr. Sunday Marshall Katung, Hon. Daniel Amos (House of Representatives, Jema’a/Sanga), and Hon. Ali Kalat (Kaduna State House of Assembly, Jema’a Constituency). After evaluating their performance over the past two years, stakeholders unanimously passed a vote of confidence on them, praising their efforts and urging continued support to enable them fulfill their mandates.

The communiqué also cautioned political aspirants to avoid overheating the polity by prematurely engaging in electioneering activities. It advised all political consultations to be conducted with decorum and in line with party guidelines.

The stakeholders pledged their unalloyed support and loyalty to the PDP leadership across all levels, particularly to the State Party Chairman, Hon. Edward Percy Masha. They prayed for wisdom and successful tenure for all party leaders as they steer the PDP toward greater achievements.
