Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, yesterday held a series of strategic engagements with key leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) across his constituency, aimed at strengthening party unity and assessing legislative progress.
Present at the well-attended meetings were the PDP State Chairman, Hon. Edward Percy Masha; Zonal Chairman, Hon. Danjuma Akuso; as well as numerous party stakeholders and grassroots leaders from ward and local government levels.
The interactive sessions were marked by open and honest dialogue, as participants reviewed Senator Katung’s performance in the National Assembly over the past two years. Various speakers offered feedback and suggestions, commending the senator’s representation and legislative initiatives.
Senator Katung expressed deep appreciation to the party faithful for their unwavering support, loyalty, and steadfast belief in the PDP’s vision. He thanked them for their dedication to the party, especially at the grassroots, acknowledging their critical role in sustaining the PDP’s relevance in Southern Kaduna.
The senator also reaffirmed his commitment to unity, peaceful coexistence, and the sustainable development of his senatorial district.
“Together, we will build a greater and more prosperous Southern Kaduna for all,” he stated.
The meeting reinforced internal party cohesion and underscored the PDP’s readiness to consolidate its political strength in the region ahead of future elections.
