The Throneroom (Trust) Ministry has debunked widespread online rumours falsely claiming the death of its founder, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, describing the reports as baseless, misleading, and damaging.
In an official statement issued by his media aide, Richard Pius Garba, the ministry clarified that Apostle Kure is alive, healthy, and actively engaged in his spiritual and humanitarian duties. The clarification follows a viral story published on online platforms Daily Post and Gistlover, which mistakenly reported Apostle Kure’s death.
The statement explained that the actual report concerned the passing of a Catholic priest, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Emmanuel K. Kure, as announced by the Archdiocese of Kaduna — a completely different individual.
“The reckless publication is not only false but deeply irresponsible,” the statement read. “It has caused undue panic, confusion, and emotional distress among friends, followers, and well-wishers of Apostle Kure, both within and outside Nigeria.”
The ministry also condemned the unauthorized use of Apostle Kure’s photograph in the misleading article, calling it a violation of privacy and journalistic ethics. The image, they said, was wrongfully used to lend credibility to a false narrative.
The ministry has called on the publishers of Daily Post and Gistlover to immediately retract the story, issue a public apology, and remove all related content from their platforms.
Supporters and members of the Throneroom family were urged to remain calm and disregard the rumors entirely. “Apostle Kure remains committed to his divine calling and to the ongoing work of national and spiritual transformation.”
