The member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on House Services, Hon. Daniel Amos, has lauded the performance of Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, describing him as a “performing lawmaker” whose achievements in office should make any would-be challenger reconsider their ambition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking during a media parley with the Southern Kaduna Journalists Forum in Kafanchan, Hon. Amos emphasised that no organised or politically conscious society replaces a representative who is delivering on his mandate.
“In 2027, anyone nursing the ambition of contesting for the Kaduna South Senatorial seat should have a serious rethink. Distinguished Senator Sunday Marshall Katung has performed excellently,” Amos said.
The lawmaker also extended commendations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, for their roles in the recent legislative achievements that have positively impacted Southern Kaduna.
He specifically noted the signing into law of the bills establishing the University of Applied Sciences, Kachia, and the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kafanchan, describing it as a significant win for the people of the zone.
“Southern Kaduna is very appreciative of President Tinubu’s magnanimity. We are also grateful to Governor Uba Sani and Speaker Abbas for their cooperation and support, which have been instrumental in achieving this milestone,” Hon. Amos added.
