Governor Uba Sani has flagged off the construction of the Kwoi–Nok Road in Jaba Local Government Area, describing it as part of his administration’s commitment to rural transformation and inclusive development.
The project, which has been long-awaited by the people of Jaba, is expected to not only ease transportation but also stimulate economic and cultural revival in the area.
Rijo Shekari (FCCA), an aspirant for the House of Representatives, Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, lauded the initiative, noting that it goes beyond basic infrastructure. He described it as a “bold statement of intent about inclusivity and reversing the decades-long neglect suffered by the community under previous administrations.”
He further emphasized the strategic significance of Nok town, widely recognized as the cradle of the famous Nok Civilization, stating that the road will help unlock its tourism potential.
Shekari also called on stakeholders in the hospitality and tourism sectors to take advantage of the new investment by developing hotels, recreational facilities, and tourist attractions to showcase the rich cultural heritage of Nok.
“We thank His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani, for this visionary initiative,” Shekari said. “This project is a powerful step toward repositioning Southern Kaduna as a hub of culture and tourism.
