Kaduna witnessed a significant youth-driven event today as the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN) held its North West Youth & Security Summit, where notable individuals were honoured for their contributions to peace and leadership.

At the summit, a distinguished Ambassador of Peace Award was conferred on Hon. Daniel Amos, member of the House of Representatives, representing Jema’a/Sanga federal constituency, for his efforts in promoting peace, unity, and inclusive leadership. Similarly, Hon. Bamas Maidawa Bako and Hon. Tessy Tukson Dibal, both representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, were confirmed as Advisers of the Assembly.
The organisers noted that the summit came at a crucial time for the region and the country at large, highlighting the pivotal role of young people in peacebuilding, security, and nation-building.
In his response, the recipient of the Peace Award expressed deep appreciation to YAN for the recognition, describing it as a “call to greater service.” He reaffirmed his commitment to championing the ideals of peace, unity, and inclusive governance while congratulating all honourees.
The North West Youth & Security Summit brought together youth leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to advance conversations around security, innovation, and the contributions of young people to national development.
