Rahila G. Garba, a youth corps member from Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, has been honoured with the prestigious President’s National Youth Service Corps (Honours) Award for her outstanding service to the nation.

Garba, who served in Bauchi State as part of the 2023 Batch A Stream I of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), distinguished herself by constructing a block of two classrooms at Gudum Hausawa in Bauchi LGA. Her project addressed a critical educational need in the community and has earned her national recognition.

The award places Garba among the few corps members nationwide to be conferred with the President’s Honours, a recognition that comes with automatic employment in the Federal Civil Service and a Federal Government scholarship up to the PhD level.

Yesterday, Garba was celebrated during the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) General Meeting held at Bachure, Adamawa State. The Chief of SOKAPU in Adamawa, Chief Samuel Duchi, offered prayers for her continued success and greater achievements in the future.

Members of SOKAPU expressed immense pride in Garba, describing her accomplishment as a reflection of the resilience, vision, and contributions of Southern Kaduna youths to national development.
