The paramount ruler of Bajju Chiefdom, His Royal Highness, Agwam Bajju II, Luka Kogi Yàbuwat, has described House of Representatives aspirant for Jaba-Zangon Kataf Federal Constituency, Rijo Shekari, as a “worthy son of Kajju” whose contributions to the development of the land are remarkable.
Speaking at his temporary palace in Zonkwa on October 1, 2025, Agwam Luka Kogi noted that Shekari has made significant investments in community development, including the construction of boreholes, scholarships for students, empowerment of widows, and the establishment of the headquarters of Kamrum Integrated Farms in Kamrum village.
“He is a worthy son that deserves our blessings,” the monarch declared, while urging Shekari to remain steadfast in his service to Bajjuland.
The royal blessing was jointly offered to Shekari by the five kingmakers of Bajjuland, district heads, village heads, title holders, and representatives of the Bajju Development Association (BADA).

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. James David said their visit was a symbolic show of respect to the leaders and elders of the land, noting that Shekari embodies integrity and has a proven record in human capital and community development.
Representing the Traditional Council, Marafan Bajju, Christopher Yanshiye, commended Shekari for seeking the blessings of the land’s leadership before embarking on his political journey.
Also speaking, the District Head of Kamrum, Mr. Obadiah Obi, presented Shekari as a leader well-endowed with qualities befitting the aspirations of Kajjuland.
Rijo Shekari expressed gratitude to the traditional council and the Bajju community for their blessings. He pledged not to disappoint them, promising to work diligently for the development of Kajjuland if given the mandate.
