The Member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Daniel Amos, has condemned in strong terms the recent attack on Tanda Community in Asso Ward, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State, which led to the loss of several innocent lives.
In a statement issued on October 6, 2025, Hon. Amos expressed deep pain and sadness over what he described as a senseless and barbaric act that has once again disrupted the peace of a community known for its calm and hospitality.
“This heinous act is not only reprehensible but a grave assault on the sanctity of human life and the peace we have all laboured to sustain in our constituency,” the lawmaker said. “I strongly condemn, in the strongest terms, the killings and any form of violence that undermines our collective security and coexistence.”
He called on security agencies to launch a thorough investigation into the attack, apprehend the perpetrators, and ensure that justice is swiftly served.
“The lives lost must not be in vain, and those behind this dastardly act must face the full wrath of the law,” Amos added.
While commiserating with the Gwong Traditional Council, led by the Kpop Gwong, as well as the families of the victims and the entire Tanda community, Hon. Amos appealed for calm, warning against any form of reprisal or retaliation.
“Retaliation or reprisal attacks will only worsen our pain and threaten the fragile peace we are striving to maintain,” he cautioned.
The federal lawmaker reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with security authorities and relevant stakeholders to strengthen peace and prevent future occurrences.
He prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and comfort for their families and the entire constituency.
