Hon. Daniel Amos, member representing Jama’a/Sanga Federal Constituency of Kaduna State and Chairman, House Committee on Services, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a letter addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Jagindi Ward, Jema’a Local Government Area, and dated October 30, 2025, Hon. Amos stated that his decision to quit the party was made after wide consultations with supporters and stakeholders.

He expressed gratitude to the PDP for offering him a platform to serve and contribute to the democratic process but lamented that persistent internal crises and unresolved divisions—particularly at the national level—had made it difficult to pursue collective progress and uphold the party’s founding principles of unity and purpose.

“It has become increasingly evident that the perennial crises and unresolved internal divisions that continue to bedevil the party have made it difficult to pursue collective progress,” the letter read in part.

Hon. Amos said his decision marks the beginning of a new chapter that aligns more closely with his convictions and the aspirations of his constituents for effective representation and meaningful development.

He also expressed appreciation to PDP leaders and members in Kaduna State, especially those in Jema’a/Sanga, for their support and fellowship over the years, reaffirming his commitment to working with all who share a vision for the advancement of Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
