Rep. Daniel Amos, the lawmaker representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, has been conferred with a distinguished traditional chieftaincy title by the Igbo community in Kafanchan. The colourful ceremony, held at the New Kafanchan Township Stadium, drew a large crowd and showcased the vibrancy of Igbo cultural heritage.

The event featured traditional music, symbolic rites, and colourful displays that underscored the significance of the honour. Rep. Amos, represented by Hon. Bamas, received the title “Eze Enyi Ka Nwanne I na Kafanchan,” which translates to “A Kingly Friend Who Is Closer Than a Brother.” The title is reserved for individuals who exemplify exceptional friendship, leadership, and service to humanity.

Community leaders praised Rep. Amos for his bridge-building qualities, describing him as a unifying figure whose contributions to development cut across ethnic and social lines.

Delivering the lawmaker’s message, Hon. Bamas conveyed his heartfelt gratitude to HRH Rze Richard Ogbonna JP, Eze Igbo Gburugburu II, and the entire Igbo community for the honour. Rep. Amos said the recognition reinforces the values of unity, loyalty, and mutual respect—principles he believes are essential for the progress of any community.

He reaffirmed his commitment to fostering peaceful coexistence and inclusive development across Jema’a and Sanga, adding that the chieftaincy title serves as fresh motivation to deepen his service to the people.
