The Office of Hon. Daniel Amos, Member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Services, has strongly condemned a recent statement by a group identifying itself as the “Southern Kaduna Youth Forum”, describing it as a malicious and desperate attempt to seek political relevance.
In a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Victor Teh Dabo, the lawmaker dismissed the group’s claims as baseless blackmail, following Hon. Amos’s earlier call for traditional rulers to attend events hosted by elected representatives within their domains, irrespective of political affiliations.
“The call made by Hon. Amos was one rooted in respect for democratic representation and community unity,” the statement read. “To twist this into an attack on the Kaduna State Government is not only petty, but reveals the group’s true intentions — to stifle truth, sow partisan division, and curry favour through mischief.”
The statement further emphasized that Hon. Amos continues to uphold the dignity of traditional institutions and remains committed to the wellbeing of his constituents. It described the group as faceless and unrepresentative of Southern Kaduna, accusing them of acting at the behest of political paymasters.
“This attempt to pit a working lawmaker against a government he respects and collaborates with has woefully failed,” Dabo stated.
On allegations of poor performance in governance and legislative duties, the statement declined to directly respond, saying the lawmaker’s “verifiable record of impactful representation is in the public domain.”
“The people of Jema’a and Sanga know their representative — and they stand with him,” the statement concluded.
