The House of Justice is set to host its landmark 10th Annual Summit and Orange Ball Banquet on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Kaduna, Nigeria. The event, which will hold in two sessions, the Summit at 9:00 a.m. and the Banquet at 4:00 p.m. — is expected to draw top national figures, policymakers, and international partners.
The Summit will be chaired by His Excellency, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON, the 14th Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Delivering the keynote address is Prof. Dakas C.J. Dakas, SAN, Chairman of the Nigerian Law Reform Commission, while Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd), immediate past Chief of Defence Staff, and Sen. Sunday Marshall Katung, Esq, Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, will serve as Special Guests of Honour.
The 2025 Summit, themed “From Camps to Justice and Communities,” seeks to address the complex challenges of insecurity, displacement, and justice in Nigeria and the Sahel region, where insurgency has persisted for over two decades.
Speaking ahead of the event, Gloria Mabeiam Ballason, Esq, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of the House of Justice, said the Summit’s theme was designed to “find real and enduring solutions to the plight of victims of insurgency and insecurity through justice and sustainable resettlement.”
“This milestone event comes at a crucial time when there are heightened concerns about sovereignty and foreign intervention in Nigeria’s security landscape. Victims and their communities must be heard — different realities can coexist — and accepting these factual narratives is key to achieving genuine justice and rehabilitation,” Ballason stated.
She further explained that the Summit will feature expert panels engaging with IDP commissions, development agencies, and international partners to bridge legal and institutional gaps in tackling insecurity and resettlement.
At the Orange Ball Banquet, dignitaries including Mr. Aliyu Tijjani Ahmed, Federal Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees and Migrants, Mr. David Snelling, Secretary of the British High Commission, Sen. Titus Zam and Sen. Babangida Hussaini, Chairmen of the Senate Committees on North-Central and North-West Development Commissions respectively, and Matthew Burkaa, SAN, will lead discussions on justice and community rebuilding.
The Banquet will feature red carpet moments, networking sessions, and citizen-leader dialogues.
While attendance at the Summit is free, entry to the Banquet is strictly by access card.
The House of Justice is a multi-door justice institution dedicated to advancing public interest, civic engagement, and access to justice. Over the past decade, its annual Summit and Banquet have evolved into Nigeria’s foremost platform for justice advocacy and leadership discourse.
