Gov. Uba Sani Visits Freed Kidnap Victims at Army Hospital, Pledges Support to Bereaved Family

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has visited the 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital, Kaduna, to sympathise with Mrs. Sarah Achi and her daughter, recently released from captivity, and to personally convey his condolences over the tragic death of her husband, the late Venerable Edwin Achi.
The visit, described as solemn and emotional, was aimed at standing with the family as they confront grief and begin the long journey of healing. The Governor was accompanied by the Anglican Archbishop of Kaduna Province, Most Rev’d Timothy Yahaya.
Governor Sani assured Mrs. Achi of the unwavering support of the Kaduna State Government, announcing a comprehensive support package for the family. According to him, the government will provide a home for the family, fully sponsor the education of the children, settle all medical expenses, and ensure sustained psychosocial care to aid their recovery and reintegration into society.
He said the intervention reflects the administration’s firm commitment to standing with victims of banditry and ensuring that compassion, justice, and human dignity remain central to governance in the state.
The Governor also commended the security agencies for their professionalism, courage, and effective collaboration with the Kaduna State Government, which led to the successful release of the victims. He noted that their dedication and sacrifices continue to strengthen public confidence in the country’s security architecture.
Before leaving the hospital, Governor Sani visited other patients receiving treatment, offered words of encouragement, and reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery and security across Kaduna State.
Senator Uba Sani, CON, reiterated that the Kaduna State Government remains resolute in its determination to support victims of insecurity and to work tirelessly towards restoring lasting peace in the state.
