Adams described the decision of the Emir to host the gathering despite the recent fire incident at the palace as a strong demonstration of character and dedication to peace and togetherness in the community.
He said the gesture underscored the vital role of traditional institutions in promoting harmony, especially in difficult moments.

According to him, the Emirate’s commitment to unity aligns with the inclusive governance vision of Governor Uba Sani’s administration, which continues to advance policies that strengthen representation and foster cohesion across Kaduna State.

Adams stressed that partnerships between traditional rulers and government remain critical to building lasting peace, trust, and sustainable development.

The event drew a large gathering of dignitaries and stakeholders from within and outside the state. Those present included representatives of the Governor and Deputy Governor, led by the Political Counsellor to the Governor, Hon. Ado Dogo; Chairmen of Jema’a and Kaura Local Government Areas, Hon. Peter Tanko and Hon. Obadiah Sankey; and a representative of the Minister of Defence, Mr. Musa Likita.

Others in attendance were the Director General of KADCHMA, the Chief Protocol Officer to the Governor, religious leaders including the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Kafanchan, his Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) counterpart, and the Anglican Bishop of Kafanchan.

Also present were business and community leaders such as the Regional Manager of UBA Kaduna, Mr. Peter Gabriel, and Jagaban Piriga, among other dignitaries.

Adams noted that the annual Ramadan Iftar continues to unite people of different faiths, ethnic groups, and backgrounds, not only to break fast but also to promote fellowship, mutual understanding, and a shared sense of purpose.

He added that the coincidence of Ramadan and Lent gave the occasion added significance, reinforcing the values of faith, sacrifice, compassion, and love among residents of the area.

The KADIRS chairman expressed gratitude to the Emir and the Emirate Council for the honour and hospitality extended to him, stating that the event reaffirmed his confidence in the unity and future of Kaduna State.
