The media aide to the member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, Hon. Daniel Amos, has dismissed as “misleading and politically contrived” a statement allegedly issued by a group identified as Jema’a/Sanga youths.

In a press statement signed by Victor Teh Dabo, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the lawmaker, the office condemned what it described as “sponsored mischief and calculated distortion” circulated on a social media platform, Kaduna Political Affairs (KPA).
Dabo said the claims made in the publication were aimed at undermining the lawmaker’s credibility, alleging the involvement of “unseen paymasters” seeking to weaponise falsehoods.

He clarified that all electrification projects referenced in the controversial statement are contained in the 2025/2026 appropriation framework, noting that delays in execution are due to funding constraints affecting federal projects nationwide.

According to him, the situation is not peculiar to Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency but reflects broader fiscal challenges impacting project implementation across the country.
Addressing specific allegations, the aide explained that the Gwandara electrification project, cited as evidence of neglect, was approved under the 2024 budget with only 20 percent funding provision.

He stated that rather than abandon the project, Hon. Amos committed personal resources to initiate preliminary work and ensured its inclusion in the 2025/2026 budget to facilitate completion.

Dabo described allegations of abandonment as “disingenuous and irresponsible,” accusing critics of deliberately ignoring facts to misinform the public.

He challenged the authors of the statement to provide verifiable evidence of wrongdoing, insisting that “empty rhetoric and politically motivated propaganda” cannot replace facts or diminish the lawmaker’s record.

The aide urged constituents to disregard what he termed “orchestrated campaigns of calumny” and to continue supporting the lawmaker’s efforts toward sustainable development in the constituency.
