The member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rep. Daniel Amos, has declared that his election is not over, urging his supporters and admirers not to be complacent ahead of the forthcoming election.

The lawmaker also announced a change in his campaign slogan from “We Move” to “Expect More.”

According to Amos, the new slogan reflects his aspiration for a second term and his desire to consolidate on the achievements recorded during the current 10th National Assembly in the 11th Assembly.

Rep. Amos made the remarks during a strategic meeting with APC stakeholders at the local government and ward levels, members of his Advisory and Campaign Councils, campaign directorates and his aides, as well as aides to the Speaker from Jema’a and Sanga, held over the weekend in Kafanchan.

Speaking further, the federal lawmaker called on eligible voters to come out en masse on election day and cast their votes, stressing that no election can be considered concluded until voters have cast their ballots and the legitimate votes have been counted.

He said: “I am not God, and I am not arrogant about my re-election. I am also scouting for votes like every other politician. So, I am calling on all my supporters and admirers to work hard and put in our best to ensure that victory is secured at the polls, rather than relying on mere statements.”

Amos said he still had much to accomplish for his constituents, explaining that his bid for re-election was aimed at building on the foundation already laid during his first term.

“I have so much to do for my people, and my seeking re-election is to build on what I have already laid on the ground. It is my utmost prayer that I retain my seat and actualise the ‘Expect More’ slogan,” he added.
