The Christian Media Forum (CMF) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Reverend Ayuba Azzaman, a prominent Kaduna-based preacher known for his passionate advocacy for truth and righteousness.
In a statement jointly signed by CMF President Jacob Dickson and National Secretary Andrew Ibrahim Mshelia, the group described the news as both shocking and saddening, lamenting the loss of a strong and courageous voice in the Christian community.
“Rev Ayuba Azzaman’s voice rang out clear and true, calling people to repentance and faith,” the statement read. “His untimely departure comes at a time when the Church and the nation need such bold voices the most.”
Known for speaking truth to power, Rev Azzaman rose to prominence through his unwavering commitment to spreading the Gospel and confronting injustice. The Forum said his passing leaves a void that may be difficult to fill.
“This is a huge loss to the Christian body,” the statement added. “We are still trying to come to terms with the enormity of this loss. We pray that God grants us strength to bear it and that His will be done.”
CMF extended heartfelt condolences to Rev Azzaman’s immediate family, his church members, and the people of Kaduna State, praying for divine comfort and peace.
“As we mourn the loss of this great man of God, we take solace in the hope that he has gone to a better place. We pray for his eternal rest and peace.”
The Forum reaffirmed its commitment to upholding the values Rev Azzaman stood for.
“We will continue to speak truth to power and stand for righteousness. His legacy will not be forgotten.”
The statement concluded with a prayer that his memory would inspire a new generation of Christians to live boldly for their faith and uphold the principles of justice and truth.
