Bomba Dauda
Chairmen of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) from the 19 Northern states and the Federal Capital Territory convened in Abuja for an extraordinary meeting to deliberate on the state of the party and chart a new course for regional coordination and leadership.
During the meeting, which held on May 26, 2025, the forum reviewed recent developments within the party at the national level and reaffirmed its commitment to party unity and the advancement of the PDP across the North and the country at large.
The forum also expressed readiness ahead of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for May 27, 2025.
In a major resolution, the chairmen unanimously elected a new leadership team to steer the affairs of the forum:
- Sir Edward Percy Masha – Chairman
- Barr. Beji Tanko – Secretary
- Hon. Abubakar Bawa – Treasurer
The newly elected officers are expected to coordinate efforts to strengthen the PDP’s structure, enhance grassroots mobilization, and position the party for future electoral success in the region.
The forum congratulated the new leaders and pledged collective support toward building a more vibrant and united.
