In a concerted effort to tackle rising insecurity in the region, key stakeholders gathered yesterday at the palace of His Highness, the Agwom Adara, for a high-level engagement focused on enhancing cooperation between local communities and security agencies.
The meeting brought together representatives from various sectors, including the Special Assistant to the Chief of Defence Staff, Musa Likita, the Commandant of Operation Fansa Yamma, the Special Assistant on Security to the Local Government Chairman, the Chief Security Officer of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia (FUASK), alongside traditional leaders, women’s groups, and other critical community stakeholders.
The engagement aimed to galvanize local support and collaboration in the ongoing efforts to restore peace and stability across the area. Discussions emphasized the urgent need for unified action in addressing security challenges, with participants agreeing that community involvement is key to lasting peace.
“We must come together as a people and support our security forces. The time has come for decisive action so that insecurity becomes a thing of the past,” one official noted during the meeting.
The local government reiterated its unwavering commitment to building a peaceful, secure, and prosperous Kachia for all residents.
