The Kaduna State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), led by its Chairman cum Chairman of the Forum of Northern States PDP Chairmen and the FCT, Chief Hon. Edward Percy Masha, today convened a high-level strategic meeting at the party’s State Secretariat in Kaduna.
The meeting was aimed at reviewing the party’s readiness and mobilization plans for the forthcoming August bye-election, which will cover two tiers of representation:
- The House of Representatives seat for the Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency
- The Kaduna State House of Assembly seats in Zaria Kewaye (Zaria LGA) and Basawa (Sabon Gari LGA)
The gathering brought together zonal executive members and key stakeholders from the affected local government areas—Chikun, Kajuru, Zaria, and Sabon Gari—as part of ongoing efforts to ensure thorough coordination and effective grassroots mobilization ahead of the polls.
In his remarks, Chief Masha stressed the importance of unity, discipline, and strategy in the party’s electoral push, commending the zeal and commitment of party leaders from the constituencies involved. He urged them to stay focused and steadfast in reclaiming the party’s mandate, while assuring that the PDP remains resolute in its mission to offer quality representation and restore public trust in governance.
