The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has called on all eligible citizens to actively participate in the upcoming voter registration exercise announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which is scheduled to commence on August 18, 2025.
Speaking on behalf of the party, the State Chairman and Chairman of the Forum of Northern States PDP Chairmen and the FCT, Hon. Edward Percy Masha, emphasized the critical importance of civic participation in the democratic process. He urged all eligible Nigerians, particularly youths and first-time voters, to take advantage of the opportunity to register.
“Registering to vote is not just a right, but a fundamental responsibility,” Masha stated. “It’s an opportunity for every Nigerian to have their voice heard and to directly influence the trajectory of our nation. We urge everyone to seize this chance and register during the upcoming exercise.”
The PDP in Kaduna State believes that an inclusive and well-coordinated voter registration process is vital to building a strong and credible democratic system. The party noted that broad participation will help ensure that future elections truly reflect the will of the people.
The party is also mobilizing its structures across the 23 local government areas of the state to sensitize and encourage the public, particularly underserved communities, to get registered.
INEC’s voter registration exercise will include new registrations, transfers, updates of personal information, and collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
