The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, has extended heartfelt condolences to Major General Zamani Lekwot (Rtd) and other bereaved families over the loss of their loved ones.

In Kaduna yesterday, Senator Katung’s condolence message was delivered through a high-powered delegation led by former House of Representatives member, Hon. Simon Arabo. The senator described the death of Gen. Lekwot’s son, late Mr. Jonathan Turman Lekwot, as a deeply painful tragedy no parent should ever have to endure.

“This is a grief that cuts deep and tests the very core of one’s being,” Senator Katung wrote. “I pray that God grants you the strength and grace to endure this difficult time, and may He surround you with His comfort and peace.”

In response, Major General Zamani Lekwot (Rtd) expressed his sincere appreciation for the senator’s message and show of solidarity. “In a time like this, what matters most to any grieving family is the show of love. As a family, we thank the senator and his representatives for the concern shown to us,” he said.

The delegation also visited and conveyed Senator Katung’s condolences to the families of the late Yohanna Chindo, Hon. Yohanna Allahmagani, and Nah Gambo.

Senator Katung, through Hon. Arabo, urged the grieving families to draw strength from the fond memories and enduring legacies of the departed. He prayed that their memories continue to be a source of inspiration and comfort.
