Kaduna State recorded major international breakthroughs in Johannesburg, South Africa, as Governor Uba Sani, CON, led a high-powered delegation to strategic side events of the G-20 Summit, positioning the state as Nigeria’s next frontier for globa investment.

Speaking at the International Investment Forum and Roadshow for Solid Minerals, Governor Sani showcased Kaduna’s vast mineral potential, including gold, lithium, iron ore, and limestone, while unveiling the state’s aggressive roadmap to transition from raw mineral extraction to full-scale industrialisation. According to him, Kaduna is already drawing significant attention, with over $2.1 billion committed to mining and industrial projects.

A major highlight of the visit was the signing of five key Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with globally recognised firms: X-Calibur Smart Mapping, Rosebank Capital, Vuka Group, Core International, and Precious Metals Tswane (PMT). The agreements are expected to deliver:

  • $2.5–$3 billion in new investments
  • Over 10,000 new jobs
  • Up to $90 million in household income gains
  • 50,000–70,000 people lifted out of poverty

Governor Sani also presented investment opportunities at the G-20 Investment Breakfast Dialogue hosted by the Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC). He highlighted Kaduna’s competitive edges in agriculture, transport infrastructure, solid minerals, and renewable energy, receiving strong interest from global investors.

In a separate engagement, the Governor met with Precious Metals Tswane (PMT), a leading South African refinery with the capacity to process up to two tonnes of precious metals daily. Discussions are underway to establish a gold aggregation and processing centre in Kaduna, which would further expand the state’s industrial base.

Governor Sani reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to attracting responsible investors, creating jobs, and accelerating sustainable development across Kaduna State. He also appealed for collective support from citizens as the government works to convert these international partnerships into real opportunities at home.

“Kaduna’s future is bright,” the statement added, noting that with unity and continued support, the state is poised for unprecedented growth
