The Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) has applauded Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for the role he played in the appointment of General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.) as Nigeria’s new Minister of Defence.
In an open letter dated December 3, 2025, and signed by its National President, Engr. Tabara Samuel Kato, the union praised the governor’s “visionary leadership” and his commitment to the stability and progress of both Kaduna State and the nation.
Kato described the appointment of Gen. Musa as a major step toward strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture and improving the safety and confidence of citizens. He added that the development has rekindled hope among Nigerians, especially residents of Southern Kaduna.
According to the statement, Governor Uba Sani has continued to demonstrate integrity, compassion, and purpose-driven leadership—qualities SOKAPU says have helped rebuild public trust and promote inclusive governance.
The union also thanked the governor for his “tireless service” and dedication to the peace and prosperity of Kaduna State and the country at large.
