Honourable Gideon Jock has formally declared his intention to contest in the 2027 election for the House of Representatives seat representing Jaba/Zango-Kataf Federal Constituency.

The declaration took place on April 3, 2027, at the PDP Secretariat in Kwoi, Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Addressing party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters, Hon. Jock expressed his commitment to building on his legacy in Jaba and reaffirmed his pride in his heritage, describing himself as a proud son of Jaba. He noted that the event was also an opportunity to appreciate God for His guidance.

In his address, he stated: “My dear leaders, elders, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters of Zango Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency, today I stand before you not just with words, but with a heart full of conviction, humility, and a deep sense of responsibility. After careful reflection and wide consultations across our communities, I hereby declare my intention to contest for the position of Member, House of Representatives in the forthcoming elections.”

He emphasized that his decision is not driven by personal ambition, but by a genuine desire to serve and bring meaningful development to the people.
Hon. Jock said his interactions across the constituency exposed him to the challenges faced by youths seeking opportunities, women striving for better livelihoods, and communities grappling with neglect and poor infrastructure.
“I have listened to your concerns and witnessed your struggles. I carry your stories with me, and they have strengthened my resolve to serve,” he said.

In a moment of reflection, he also appealed for forgiveness from anyone he may have offended during previous political engagements.
“If, by my actions or inactions, especially during my last contest, I have offended anyone knowingly or unknowingly, I sincerely ask for your forgiveness.”
He called for unity across party lines, stressing that his ambition transcends political affiliations.
“I am for everyone. Whether you belong to APC, PDP, ADC, Labour, or any other party, you are all my people. This movement is not about division, but about collective progress.”
Hon. Jock pledged to provide inclusive and responsive leadership that prioritizes the needs of all segments of society.
“Our constituency deserves leadership that feels your pain, hears your voice, and takes decisive action. I offer myself as that servant.”
He further outlined his vision of a constituency where youths are empowered, women are supported, communities are developed, and every voice is heard.
Describing his ambition as more than a political campaign, he called it a movement for unity, progress, and collective belief in the potential of Southern Kaduna.
“This is a call to take our communities to greater heights—a call for unity, progress, and faith in our collective potential. Southern Kaduna is richly endowed and can achieve sustainable development.”
He concluded by seeking the support, prayers, and trust of the people.
“I cannot do this alone. Let us move forward together as one people with one destiny. The time is now. The moment is ours.”
