The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area has formally presented Comrade Danjuma Bello Sarki as its consensus candidate for the Zonkwa State Constituency seat, with party leaders and supporters expressing confidence in his capacity to deliver effective representation.
The ratification exercise held in Zonkwa drew delegates, party faithful, and supporters from across the constituency, signaling growing support for Sarki ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Overseeing the ratification process, the Returning Officer, Mr. Markus Maan, said the exercise was conducted in line with the party’s guidelines and democratic procedures.
He explained that following the nomination process and consultations within the party, Danjuma Bello Sarki emerged as the only aspirant seeking the party’s ticket for the Kaduna State House of Assembly seat representing Zonkwa Constituency.
Mr. Maan announced that Sarki was declared winner after polling a total of 321 votes across the five wards that make up the constituency during the ratification exercise.
He noted that the outcome reflected the confidence and trust party members have in Sarki’s leadership capacity, competence, and commitment to serving the people.
In his remarks, Comrade Danjuma Bello Sarki expressed appreciation to party leaders, delegates, and supporters for the confidence reposed in him.
He described his emergence as a call to greater service and pledged to provide effective and people-centered representation at the Kaduna State House of Assembly if elected.
Sarki said he has built strong connections within and outside Kaduna State which he intends to leverage to attract meaningful development and opportunities to the people of Zonkwa Constituency.
He also assured party faithful that he would work tirelessly to justify the trust placed in him and called on members to remain united and committed to the party’s success in the elections.
Also speaking, the PDP Chairman in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Martins Koyah, commended party members for their unity and commitment throughout the process.
Koyah described Danjuma Bello Sarki as a dedicated party man with the capacity and experience to effectively represent the interests of the constituency.
He urged members and supporters to close ranks and work together toward securing victory for the party in the forthcoming elections.
