The Kaduna State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Sir James A. Kanyip, has called on the people of Southern Kaduna to support the re-election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections, citing what he described as significant developmental achievements recorded under Governor Uba Sani and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Kanyip made the call while delivering a paper titled “Consolidating the Achievements of APC-Led Government in Southern Kaduna: The Need to Re-elect APC in the 2027 General Elections” at the launch and inauguration of the APC One Million Solidarity Vote Movement in Kafanchan, Kaduna State.

He said Southern Kaduna, which had long complained of political marginalisation, insecurity and poor infrastructure, is now experiencing greater inclusion in governance and accelerated development under the current administration.
According to him, the Uba Sani administration has adopted an inclusive approach centred on dialogue, equitable development and reconciliation, replacing what he described as divisive politics of the past.

Highlighting achievements in the health sector, Kanyip said 75 primary healthcare centres across Southern Kaduna had been renovated, upgraded and equipped, while seven general hospitals in the zone had also been rehabilitated. He added that Sir Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa Hospital in Kafanchan has been converted into a Federal Medical Centre.

He also listed major improvements in healthcare delivery, including the revitalisation of primary healthcare centres, recruitment of health workers, expanded health insurance coverage for vulnerable residents and investments in medical education and emergency services.

On education, the commissioner said the state government has consistently allocated 25 per cent of its annual budget to education over the past three years, reduced tuition fees in state-owned tertiary institutions by 50 per cent, sponsored hundreds of thousands of students for external examinations and rehabilitated schools across Southern Kaduna.

Kanyip further highlighted ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects linking communities across Southern Kaduna, alongside water supply schemes, rural electrification projects, the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Kachia and the Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan.

He also credited the administration with expanding agricultural support through fertiliser distribution, mechanisation, livestock interventions and market infrastructure, while noting improvements in security through the establishment of new military bases, deployment of patrol vehicles and community-based peacebuilding initiatives.

The Attorney-General said Southern Kaduna has also witnessed increased representation in both federal and state appointments, describing the current administration as the most inclusive in the region’s history.

He argued that continuity in leadership would ensure the completion of ongoing projects, sustain peace and deepen development across the region.
Kanyip urged residents to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Uba Sani and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections, insisting that the party’s performance should be the basis for voters’ decisions.
