Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Principal Partner of Gatekeepers Consult, Samuel Atung, has commended Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for selecting Comrade Jerry Adams, Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), as his running mate.
Atung described the choice as a strategic decision based on merit rather than sentiment. According to him, Adams possesses the political aura, leadership capacity, and endearing personality needed to add significant value to the ticket.
He noted that as Chairman of KADIRS, Adams increased the state’s internally generated revenue from ₦58 billion in 2022 to ₦86 billion by the end of 2025, representing an increase of ₦28 billion, or approximately 48.3 percent, over the period. He said the improved revenue provided the financial backbone for Governor Uba Sani’s development agenda.
He added that the improved revenue performance has helped Kaduna State remain financially stable despite the burden of servicing the $350 million loan inherited from the previous administration.
Atung further said the overwhelming excitement and widespread celebrations that greeted Adams’ nomination were clear indications of his popularity and acceptance among the people.
He described Adams as a compassionate and kind-hearted leader whose generosity and commitment to improving the lives of friends, associates, and families across Kaduna State have earned him immense goodwill.
He expressed confidence that Adams’ experience in public finance, political appeal, and people-oriented leadership would further strengthen the Uba Sani ticket and contribute to the continued progress and development of Kaduna State.
Atung further posited that by nominating Comrade Jerry Adams as his running mate, Governor Uba Sani has demonstrated his firm commitment to inclusive governance.
According to him, by embracing people from diverse backgrounds, political and religious persuasions, and communities, the Governor has strengthened unity, inspired greater confidence in government, and fostered a shared sense of purpose, peace, and progress.
He added that the spirit of fairness being nurtured by the Governor has promoted peace and stability across the state and reflects the fundamental principle that government exists to serve all citizens without discrimination.
Atung wished Governor Uba Sani and Comrade Jerry Adams resounding success at the polls and a peaceful, impactful, and successful tenure in office.
