Hon. Chief Dr. Gideon Jock, popularly known as Mai Solar, has reaffirmed his intention to contest the Zangon-Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives in the 2027 general elections under the platform of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP).
In a statement issued by the Mai Solar Media Team, Jock was described as “firmly on the ballot” for the 2027 election, with the team urging constituents across Zangon-Kataf and Jaba to remain confident in their constitutional right to freely choose their preferred candidate.
The statement assured eligible voters that they would be able to cast their ballots without intimidation, stressing that “every single vote will count” and that no individual or group would be allowed to take away the people’s mandate.
It further reminded voters that the election for the Federal Constituency is a federal election to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), rather than the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIECOM).
The campaign team urged voters not to be discouraged by fear, insecurity or pessimism, expressing confidence that Jock would emerge victorious in the 2027 election.
“The will of the people will prevail,” the statement declared.
The statement also urged supporters to identify the PRP on election day by its key symbol, as the party seeks to mobilise support for Jock’s candidacy in the constituency.
