The Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Hon. Bege Joseph Gaiya, and the Sardaunan Ikulu, Alhaji Isma’il Yusuf Ashafa, have expressed confidence that Southern Kaduna will reciprocate the developmental strides and political inclusion under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani by voting massively for them in the 2027 general elections.
The duo gave the assurance during the flag-off of the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign for President Tinubu’s re-election in Kaduna on Saturday.
They maintained that the region had recorded significant developments and political recognition under the two administrations, which they said deserved appreciation and reciprocal support at the polls.
Among the notable gains is the appointment of General Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd.) as Chief of Defence Staff and his subsequent appointment as Minister of Defence by President Tinubu, which supporters regard as significant recognition of Southern Kaduna at the national level.
They also cited the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences, Kachia; the Federal Medical Centre, Kafanchan; and the signing into law of the legislation establishing the Federal Medical School, Manchok, in Kaura Local Government Area.
The duo further commended Governor Uba Sani for his inclusive governance, noting that his administration had promoted political participation and representation while extending development projects to Southern Kaduna.
They identified road infrastructure, healthcare, education and rural development as areas in which the state government had demonstrated commitment to improving the lives of residents.
Gaiya and Ashafa maintained that the governor’s inclusive leadership and support for federal institutions in Southern Kaduna were important reasons the region should support his re-election bid alongside President Tinubu in 2027.
They called on community leaders, political stakeholders and residents to sustain their engagement with the APC, expressing optimism that continued cooperation would consolidate existing gains and attract further development to the region.
