The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Sunday Marshall Katung has donated N370, 000(Three hundred and seventy thousand Naira) to both teaching and non-teaching staff of Rafiki Orphanage in Ungwan Rimi in Zango-Kataf Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State and assorted food items to the orphans.

The food items, which include: 10 bags of 50kg of Rice, 2 bags of soya beans, 3 bags of Maize, 2 bags of white beans, 3 bags of guinea corn, 2 bags of sugar, 4 bags of 10kg of rice, 4 gallons of 25 litres of palm oil, 40 cartons of Indomie, 20 cartons of spaghetti, 6 cartons of soap, 10 gallons of 4 kg of palm oil, 10 cartons of Maggi.

Food donated to Rafiki Orphanage
The cash and food donations to the orphanage are part of programmes to mark the senator’s 63rd birthday.
The representative of the Senator, Dr. Joseph Thot and his entourage moved to the ECWA Widow’s Training Centre in Samaru-Kataf also in Zango-Kataf LGA of the state where they donated 2 bags of Soya beans, 2 bags of Maize, 2 bags of white beans, 2 bags of guinea corn, 2 bags of sugar, 4 bags of 10kg of rice,10 gallons of 4 litres of palm oil, 40 caryons of Indomie, 20 cartons of spaghetti, 4 cartons of soap, 4 gallons of 25 litres of palm oil, 10 cartons of Maggi and 25 pieces of jotters.

Food items donated to the Widows
17 teaching staff were given N10,000 each, 25 widows were given N20, 000 each and 33 non-Widows were given N10,000 each. While the Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, Comrade Jerry Adams donated N500,000 to the widows.
