Kabruk, National President of St. Francis Old Students Association (SAFOSA) and issued to Gurara Accord in Kaduna, the group applauds Senator Sunday Marshall Katung for lobbying and enabling the establishment of the first university in Southern kaduna Senatorial District.
“On this auspicious occasion of establishment of the first ever federal university in southern kaduna,” the group said. Adding that, “We identify with the Senator, Southern Kaduna and Kaduna State for this noble achievement, congratulations distinguish Senatorial Sunday Marshall Katung for making this a reality.
“That as a secondary school which contributes and continue to improve the educational advancement of Southern Kaduna, we call on all our leaders irrespective of party affiliation, philanthropists, business moguls and well wishers to rally round this project to see it to reality by contributing their quota.
“We call on the kaduna state caucus of the tenth national assembly, the state governor, minister and all political leaders close to the presidency to rally round to see to the signing of the bill into law by the president in the shortest time possible
“That the establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Southern Kaduna will not only boost education but will also promote businesses, provide job opportunities, enhance physical and infrastructural development leading to improved revenue generation.
“The early take-off of the university will address the challenge of admissions for thousands of fresh school leavers seeking to further their education from southern kaduna and other areas.
“The citing of the university in southern kaduna is a collective victory for southern kaduna and not that of the senator alone as such all sons and daughters of southern kaduna should strive to see to the growth and sustenance of this university.
“St. Francis as a leading secondary school in southern kaduna will continue to chun-out quality students good enough to procure admission in all tertiary institutions of learning including the new federal university of applied sciences kachia when it fully takes off.
“We once more congratulate Distinguish Senator Sunday Marshall Katung (SMK), southern kaduna, and kaduna state for the noble achievement.”
