People Redemption Party(PRP) candidate for House of Representative in Jaba/Zango-kataf Federal Constituency in the upcoming election, Hon. Gideon Jock (Mai Solar), has officially flagged off the construction of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Kaduna State Council’s Romi Sports Complex, Events Centre, and Commercial Plaza in Ungwan Romi, Kaduna.
The groundbreaking ceremony marked the commencement of a landmark project aimed at promoting sports development, youth engagement, community activities, and economic empowerment within Kaduna State and beyond.
Speaking during the event, Hon. Jock described the project as a strategic investment in the future of young people and the overall development of the state.
“This Sports Complex, Events Centre, and Commercial Plaza is more than a building. It is an investment in our boys, in our youth, and in the future of Kaduna State. When we equip our young people with the right facilities, we fight idleness, crime, and hopelessness,” he said.
He praised the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria for its longstanding commitment to raising disciplined, God-fearing, and responsible young men, noting that the organization deserves a modern facility to further its mission.
The proposed complex is expected to provide recreational facilities, host social and community events, and create commercial opportunities that will benefit residents and contribute to local economic growth.
The ceremony attracted members of the Boys’ Brigade Kaduna State Council, officers, parents, and brigade members, who offered prayers for the successful execution and timely completion of the project.
Hon. Jock also appealed to individuals, corporate organizations, and government agencies to partner with the Boys’ Brigade in ensuring the project’s successful delivery, emphasizing that collective support would maximize its impact on youth development and community advancement.
