The Executive Chairman of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, Hon. Bege Katuka, has described the emergence of Comrade Jerry Adams, Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS), as Governor Uba Sani’s running mate as a well-deserved recognition of competence, integrity and exemplary public service.
Katuka made the remarks on Monday while briefing party members and Ward Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Zangon Kataf Local Government Secretariat, shortly after receiving Comrade Jerry Adams during a visit to the council headquarters.
He said Governor Uba Sani’s decision to pick Jerry Adams reflects his commitment to rewarding merit and strengthening inclusive governance in Kaduna State.
According to the Executive Chairman, Adams possesses the leadership qualities, administrative experience and impeccable character required to effectively complement Governor Uba Sani in advancing the state’s development agenda.
Katuka noted that Jerry Adams has built a reputation as a disciplined, transparent and result-oriented public servant whose contributions to governance have been evident through his leadership of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS).
He said Adams spearheaded reforms that significantly improved the state’s internally generated revenue through innovation, efficiency and enhanced tax administration, providing government with more resources to invest in infrastructure, education, healthcare and other critical sectors.
The Executive Chairman added that beyond his achievements in public administration, Jerry Adams is widely respected for his humility, accessibility and commitment to public service, qualities he said have earned him the admiration and confidence of people across Kaduna State.
Katuka also described Governor Uba Sani as an exceptional leader whose inclusive style of governance has continued to foster unity and accelerate development across the state, noting that the choice of Jerry Adams further demonstrates the governor’s resolve to assemble a competent, credible and people-oriented leadership team.
He expressed confidence that the Uba Sani-Jerry Adams ticket would consolidate the achievements of the current administration and deliver greater dividends of democracy to the people of Kaduna State, urging APC members to remain united and mobilise support for the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
