The Managing Director of Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), Mr. Ben SD Kure, has expressed gratitude to God and extended warm New Year greetings to the people of Kaduna State and Nigerians as the country prepares to usher in 2026.
In a public message marking the end of 2025, Kure commended the leadership of Governor Uba Sani for what he described as bold, visionary and people-centred governance, particularly the historic provision in the 2026 Kaduna State Budget which allocates ₦100 million to each of the 255 political wards across the state’s 23 local government areas.
According to the KSMC Managing Director, the ward-based allocation represents an unprecedented commitment to grassroots development, inclusion, fairness and equity, noting that sustainable development can only be achieved when governance priorities are firmly rooted in rural communities.
“This deliberate intervention reflects a clear understanding that the heartbeat of Kaduna State lies in its local communities. It is a practical demonstration of leadership that listens, cares and delivers,” Kure said.
He explained that by empowering wards directly, the initiative would drive rural transformation, encourage local participation, stimulate economic activities and ensure inclusive development across the state.
Kure also acknowledged the broader achievements recorded under APC-led governments at both the state and federal levels, particularly in infrastructure development, peace-building, social inclusion and ongoing economic reforms, which he said continue to strengthen Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
As the New Year approaches, he urged citizens to remain united, support good governance and sustain peace, while calling on Nigerians to pray for leaders at all levels in line with biblical injunctions, asking God to grant them wisdom, strength and grace to serve selflessly.
He concluded by praying for God’s blessings upon Kaduna State and Nigeria, expressing optimism that 2026 would usher in renewed hope, peace and shared prosperity
