An aspirant for the House of Representatives seat representing Zangon Kataf/Jaba Federal Constituency under the All Progressives Congress (APC), TPL. Sylvester Anthony (Brando), has formally declared his intention to contest in the upcoming election.
Anthony, who is the Tsung Atyap in Zangon Kataf and Byirim in Ungwan Gaiya, made the declaration on Saturday in Zonkwa, the headquarters of Zangon Kataf Local Government Area.
Speaking at the event, the aspirant said his decision to join the race was driven by a desire to provide effective representation and address key developmental challenges facing the constituency.
He also unveiled a seven-point agenda that will guide his campaign and legislative priorities. According to him, the agenda focuses on strengthening his primary legislative functions, improving security, and promoting youth and women empowerment, among other key areas aimed at driving development in the constituency.
As part of activities marking the declaration, Anthony inaugurated his campaign structure, unveiling members who will coordinate his political activities across the constituency.
In a show of support for his team, the aspirant distributed seven vehicles and 50 motorcycles to members of his campaign structure to facilitate grassroots mobilization and outreach.
The event attracted party supporters, stakeholders, and community members from different parts of the constituency.
