The Chairman of the Southern Kaduna Professors Forum, Professor John Gambo Laah, has praised the Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia (FUASK) for emerging as the fourth highest performing university among institutions assessed at the 2026 JAMB Policy Meeting.
Professor Laah, who is also a lecturer at the Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia, said the institution’s rapid progress within barely one year of commencing academic activities has distinguished it among universities in the country.
Laah, who made the outcome of the policy meeting held on Monday, May 11, 2026, in Abuja, on his Facebook account noted that the recognition reflects the commitment of the university’s management, staff and students toward academic excellence.
According to him, “Barely one year after the commencement of academic activities, the difference is already clear.”
He further quoted the Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, as saying during the meeting that, “The way things are going, FUASK would soon be one of the best.”
Professor Laah congratulated the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. William Barnabas Qurix, OFR, FNIA, alongside the management, staff and students of the university for the achievement.
“I am very proud to be associated with FUASK,” he added.
The Federal University of Applied Sciences Kachia was established to provide specialized education in applied sciences and technology, with stakeholders expressing optimism that the institution will become a major academic hub in Kaduna State and Nigeria at large.
