The Member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Daniel Amos, has flagged off the distribution of 2,000 bags of assorted fertilisers to farmers, the installation of 900 solar-powered lights across communities and places of worship, and the donation of 40 motorcycles to security agencies in the constituency.
The event, held on Thursday at his constituency office in Kafanchan, attracted traditional rulers, religious leaders, government officials, party stakeholders, community leaders, youth and women groups, as well as residents of Jema’a and Sanga Local Government Areas.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Amos described the interventions as part of his commitment to responsive representation, stressing that governance should translate into tangible projects that improve the lives of the people.
He said the fertiliser distribution was aimed at reducing the burden of rising farm input costs on local farmers and boosting agricultural productivity, noting that agriculture remains the backbone of the economy in Jema’a and Sanga.
According to him, improved farm yields would not only enhance food security but also strengthen household incomes and stimulate economic activities across the constituency.
The lawmaker also announced the commencement of the installation of 900 solar-powered lights in churches, mosques and strategic communities, saying the project would improve security, encourage economic and social activities at night, and promote the use of renewable energy.
On security, Amos said the donation of 40 motorcycles would enhance the operational capacity of security agencies by improving mobility, surveillance and emergency response across the constituency.
He noted that the three interventions reflected an integrated development approach focused on agriculture, security and sustainable infrastructure.
The federal lawmaker urged beneficiaries to use the fertilisers strictly for farming purposes, while calling on communities to protect the solar installations from vandalism and continue supporting security agencies in safeguarding lives and property.
He expressed appreciation to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for their support and commitment to development.
Hon. Amos also thanked traditional rulers, religious leaders and the people of Jema’a and Sanga for their continued trust and cooperation, assuring them of his resolve to attract more people-oriented projects to the constituency.
He expressed optimism that the interventions would improve agricultural output, enhance security and contribute to sustainable development across Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency.
