Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Principal Partner of Gatekeepers Consult, Samuel Atung, has called on the people of Southern Kaduna, the Christian community and residents of Kaduna State to support the administrations of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Uba Sani in the 2027 general elections.

Atung made the call while representing Comrade Jerry Adams, former Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) and running mate to Governor Uba Sani, who was the Father of the Day at the 31st Choral Convention 2026 in Kaduna, with the theme: “let your light shine.”

He said the appeal for continued support of the federal and state governments was based on what he described as the respect, inclusion and opportunities the administrations had demonstrated towards the people of Southern Kaduna and Kaduna State.

According to him, the people should reciprocate the gesture by supporting leaders who have demonstrated commitment to their development.

He also commended Governor Uba Sani for his inclusive approach to governance, particularly in the areas of infrastructure across Kaduna State.

“We have to show them that we are people who appreciate. If they have shown us respect and carried us along, then we should also reciprocate by giving them our bulk votes in 2027,” Atung said.

He further urged the people of Southern Kaduna to recognise and support credible representatives who have demonstrated capacity and commitment to the development of the area.

Atung specifically described Senator Sunday Marshall Katung as a good choice for Southern Kaduna, noting his legislative interventions and contributions to the development of the people.

He urged the people to look beyond partisan sentiments and support leaders based on performance, and tangible contributions to their communities.

The SAN therefore called on the Christian community and the people of Southern Kaduna to remain united and strategically engage in the political process ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that their votes should be used to consolidate development and support leaders who have demonstrated commitment to the people.

The choral convention is organized jointly by Non-denominational Christian Association of Nigeria (NCCN) and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). Participants are drawn from the zones in Kaduna State and the essence of it is to praise God through music and worship.
