Engr. Ciroma Joseph, FNSE, founder of Hasken Southern Kaduna, has distributed food items to Muslim communities across the eight Local Government Areas of Kaduna South Senatorial District as part of activities marking the 2026 Ramadan season.

The humanitarian outreach covered Kauru, Zango Kataf, Kaura, Kachia, Kagarko, Sanga, Jaba and Jema’a Local Government Areas, where beneficiaries received essential food supplies, including millet and sugar, to support families observing the holy month of fasting.
A statement issued by his Principal Private Secretary said the gesture was in line with the broader humanitarian programme of Hasken Southern Kaduna, aimed at alleviating economic hardship and promoting interfaith harmony during Ramadan — a period associated with sacrifice, devotion, compassion and charity among Muslims worldwide.

According to the statement, the intervention reflects Engr. Ciroma’s sustained commitment to the welfare of vulnerable communities, especially during periods when household food needs are heightened.

“Ramadan is a season that calls for compassion and shared responsibility. This initiative is meant to ease the burden on families and strengthen bonds of unity across communities,” the statement noted.
Beneficiaries across the senatorial district expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing the assistance as timely and impactful. Many said the food supplies would help sustain their households throughout the fasting period.

Observers have described the exercise as part of a growing culture of citizen-led philanthropy in Southern Kaduna, where community leaders and private individuals increasingly complement formal social support systems through targeted humanitarian interventions.
The outreach further highlights the role of non-governmental initiatives in addressing immediate social needs while fostering peaceful coexistence among diverse religious and ethnic groups in the region.
